Rotary Club of Ibadan Bodija Estate to Install Rotarian Anya Chukwu as 12th President, Hold Fundraising for Community Project

The Rotary Club of Ibadan Bodija Estate has announced the investiture of Rotarian Anya Chukwu as its 12th President, alongside a fundraising ceremony to support the club’s humanitarian and community service projects for the 2026/2027 Rotary year themed “Creating Lasting Impact.”

Announcing the programme on behalf of the Club, the Club Secretary, Rotarian Patience Ogbo, said the investiture and fundraising ceremony is scheduled to hold on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at the Rotary House, Oluyole Way, off Favos Bus Stop, New Bodija, Ibadan, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

According to the club, the event will bring together Rotarians, traditional rulers, government officials, business leaders, professionals, family members, friends and other distinguished guests to witness the formal installation of Rotarian Anya Chukwu as the club’s 12th President and to mobilise support for projects that will positively impact communities during the 2026/2027 Rotary year.
The fundraising drive will provide resources for the club’s planned interventions in maternal and child health, basic education and literacy, disease prevention and treatment, water, sanitation and hygiene, environmental protection, economic and community development, and youth empowerment, in line with Rotary International’s focus on creating sustainable and measurable impact.
The club stated that under the leadership of Rotarian Anya Chukwu, it will deepen its commitment to Service Above Self by implementing projects that address critical community needs while fostering partnerships with individuals, corporate organisations and other stakeholders to expand its humanitarian reach.
The investiture ceremony would also feature the presentation of special awards to distinguished personalities in recognition of their outstanding contributions to humanity, community development and support for Rotary’s ideals.
The recipients of the honours include the club’s Honorary Member, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Senator Dr. Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, in recognition of his exemplary traditional leadership and unwavering support for community development. Also to be honoured is the Chief Executive Officer of Dav-Ric Group, Mr. Iyke Agwu, who will serve as the Chairman of the Occasion, in recognition of his contributions to enterprise development, philanthropy and community service.
