Rotarian Momoh installed as 8th President of Rotary otary Club of Ibadan Elebu Metropolis

Rotarian Momoh Ismail has been installed as the 8th President of the Rotary Club of Ibadan Elebu Metropolis, Ibadan, Oyo State, with a clear pledge to deepen the club’s humanitarian service, strengthen member fellowship and build on the achievements recorded by previous administrations.
He formally took over from the immediate past president, Rotarian Adewale Adesina, during the club’s Handing Over and Taking Over Ceremony cum Investiture held on Tuesday, July 8, 2026, at Rotary House, Iyaganku, Ibadan.
The ceremony drew the District Governor of Rotary International District 9126, Rotarian Olaniyi Amoo Okin, district officers, past presidents of the club, the Assistant Governor, Rotarians from sister clubs, royal fathers, invited guests and members of the public, all of whom gathered to witness the leadership transition.
In his acceptance speech, Rotarian Momoh Ismail described his installation as both an honour and a responsibility, saying he was grateful for the confidence reposed in him by members of the club. He assured them that his administration would be guided by Rotary’s core values of service, integrity, fellowship and leadership.
He said his leadership would focus on three major priorities: strengthening internal unity among members, expanding the club’s humanitarian outreach and sustaining the tradition of service that has defined the Rotary Club of Ibadan Elebu Metropolis since its establishment.
Rotarian Momoh Ismail also promised to consolidate on the gains of the outgoing administration, especially in the areas of service delivery, club visibility and community impact, while positioning the club for greater relevance within Rotary International District 9126.
According to him, Rotary remains a practical platform for addressing community needs and promoting positive social change, adding that active participation, commitment and teamwork would be essential to achieving the club’s goals under his watch.
The event also served as an opportunity to recognise the contributions of the outgoing president, Rotarian Adewale Adesina, whose tenure was praised for sustaining the club’s service activities and strengthening its presence in the district.
In his remarks, Rotarian Adewale Adesina highlighted some of the key activities carried out during his administration, including sponsorship of Rotary events, strategic collaborations with stakeholders and deliberate efforts to grow membership and improve service delivery.
Awards were presented to deserving Rotarians and members of the public who had distinguished themselves through service to the club and contributions to community development.
Speaking at the ceremony, the District Governor of Rotary International District 9126, Rotarian Olaniyi Amoo Okin, congratulated Rotarian Momoh Ismail on his emergence and urged him to lead with dedication, accountability and a strong commitment to Rotary’s ideals.
He also commended the Rotary Club of Ibadan Elebu Metropolis for conducting a smooth leadership transition and for remaining consistent in its humanitarian service to the community.
