Police Arrest BBNaija Star Ilebaye’s Father Over Alleged Assault in Nigeria – What We Know

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has arrested Emmanuel Odiniya, father of Ilebaye Odiniya, following allegations of physical assault involving the reality television star.
The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Saturday at Royal Anchor Estate, Wuye, Abuja, after police received a distress call alleging ongoing violence at the residence.
According to the command’s spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, officers from the Wuye Division and the Department of Operations were immediately deployed to the scene.
Police said attempts to gain access to the compound initially proved difficult because the gate was locked. Authorities later entered the residence around 2:30 a.m.
Ilebaye was reportedly found with visible bruises and was rescued alongside her brothers before being taken to NNPC Hospital in Abuja for medical treatment.
The development followed an emotional Instagram Live session by the 25-year-old reality star, during which she appeared tearful and visibly distressed, sparking concern among fans and social media users.
The police confirmed that Emmanuel Odiniya is currently in custody while investigations continue to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
As of the time of filing this report, no official statement had been issued by the Odiniya family regarding the allegations.
